Designing BIPOC spaces for This Way Up.
2020
This Way Up is a new Toronto organization that consists of individuals who have been or are currently a part of the shelter system in Toronto. Their goal is to provide homeless individuals (LGBTQIA2S+ & BIPOC prioritized) with creative programming, resources, information and access to community. They approached me for help on building their brand in a time where Black Lives Matter is at the forefront of social justice issues. I began by proposing a new logo refresh design that establishes pillars of friendliness, helpfulness, and clarity, which was approved. From that, I developed a website, social media templates, business cards, branded stickers, and uniform designs to help bring this important cause to life. Their new engaging templates helped reach an additional ~400 followers to their Instagram account.
